One of these fields is certainly fashion. Cinema who influences clothing trends and collections of fashion designers also uses fashion as one of its primary sources of influence. Though this dual relationship is referenced in many places, this interaction in short films is often overlooked. As the International Izmir Short Film Festival, we are giving the short films produced by Christian Dior, Chanel and Yves Saint Lauren as a gift to our Izmir audience within the special programme entitled New Horizons: Fashion! These short films directed by names like Jean-Pierre Jeunet will have thier first big scrren premieres in Turkey at our festival. Films will be announced on October 19.

However it is not always necessary to talk or to make someone talk in order to tell a story. These are the days communication between individuals is questioned and the festival takes its stand in this discussion. In this special programme entitled Films who do not Speak, a selection of non-dialogue films is prepared. These films where people communicate withput speaking will be announced on October 19.

This year, all Q&A’s and conferences organized during the festival will be broadcasted live via our website. Everyone who did not have the chance to come to the festival will have the chance to see what is going on in the screening room.
